Applied Ethnobotanical Research Formation



 What it is ? This is a formation that comprises theoretical research and practical
approach with methodological tools to carry out a complete ethnobotanical
field research.

  
Who is it for? It is proposed to researchers, scientists, botanists and
pharmacists.



How long is it for? The full program runs for an intense period of 4-months
representing around 463 hours of theory and 469 hours of practical work.

Where does it take place? In the regions of Nariño and Putumayo in Southern
Andes of Colombia and pre-Amazon; with field training among local communities and traditional doctors.

Participants: limited to 5 – max 7 members per group in agreement with
the local communities and doctors involved in the formation.


Place of the program:

  • Courses will take place at the
    Pineda Research Center in
    Pasto, Nariño, Colombia.
  • 4 expeditions will take place in
    Nariño, Putumayo, Andes and
    Pre-Amazon regions of
    Colombia

Our formation is based on theories and practices where the participant received
personalized follow-up. An integrative approach is given from modern and traditional perspectives. This complete and intense courses allow the participant to led field research projects and position in the phyto and pharmaceutical sectors.
